The CGT calls for a strike at the SNCF and the RATP Tuesday, October 18

The union asks for the opening of negotiations with the management for salary increases and hiring in the transport companies.

The CGT Federation calls on railway workers to strike on October 18 as well as to “massively participate in the demonstrations in the territories that day.” The union is demanding wage increases and intends to protest against requisitions in the energy sector.

In a press release, the CGT-Cheminots expressed solidarity with the refinery workers on strike for three weeks.

Strike also in the RATP

The union asks for early negotiations with management “to obtain general salary increases.”

The union demands the opening of negotiations on employment “as quickly as possible, as close as possible to the sites, to cover the workload”.

A movement that should be extended to Parisian transport. According to RTL, the CGT RATP would call a strike this same Tuesday, October 18.

The claims relate to “salary increases, the question of pensions and the defense of the right to strike questioned by the requisitions in the refineries”specifies Vincent Gautheron, secretary of the CGT-RATP union, quoted by FranceBleu.
