Address 93 for Tesla. The manufacturer will move its headquarters to Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) in the coming weeks to expand and support the success of its models, Tesla France stated, confirming information from Le Parisien.
The subsidiary of the American pioneer of electric cars set up its headquarters in 2016 in Chambourcy (Yvelines), in the western suburb of Paris, and will maintain a dealership there, a spokesperson for the brand told AFP.
Duplicate sales
The new, larger headquarters will initially have a hundred employees and hiring is already underway. It will be completed in 2024 with a brand concession.
After sharp price cuts, Tesla more than doubled its sales in a year and sold more than 44,000 vehicles in France during the first ten months of 2023, as many as BMW, for example.
Its basic SUV, the Model Y, is the best-selling 100% electric vehicle of the year in France, ahead of the small Dacia Spring, and the eighth best-selling car for all energies combined.
