Refineries: which sites are still on strike this Friday morning?

Although the CGT has closed the door on wage negotiations with TotalEnergies, difficulties are likely to continue for French motorists.

The standoff continues: Striking workers at TotalEnergies voted on Friday to continue the strike after the CGT rejected a draft agreement on wage increases, at the origin of the social movement that caused a rare gasoline shortage in France and threatens to grow.

This Friday, which refineries are closed and which have resumed work?

TotalEnergies, five sites still on strike

All oil sites are still on strike, say the CGT and FO, namely:

  • Gonfreville-l’Orcher (Seine-Maritime)
  • Donges (Loire Atlantique)
  • Chateuneuf-les-Martigues (Bouches-du-Rhône)
  • Feyzin (Rhône)
  • Grandpuits (Seine-Maritime)
  • Flanders depot: on strike but employees were requisitioned to guarantee fuel shipments.

Esso-ExxonMobil, the strike lifted

  • Port-Jérôme-sur-Seine (Seine-Maritime): strike lifted until at least 2:00 p.m. this Friday, at which time a new vote will be held to decide whether or not to resume the strike.
  • Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhône): lifting of the strike
