Fishing: Emmanuel Macron announces an extension of fuel aid until June 2024

Implemented in March 2022, the fuel aid allows fishermen to receive aid of 20 cents per liter of fuel.

Emmanuel Macron took advantage of the conference on maritime economy, this Tuesday, November 28, in Nantes, to announce the extension of fuel aid for fishermen until June 30, 2024.

Implemented in March 2022, following the increase in energy prices caused by the war in Ukraine, these measures allows fishermen to receive aid of 20 cents per liter of fuel.

This aid, which expired on December 31, will be applied up to a limit of 335,000 euros per company per year. “Ces 20 centimes seront cumulés avec les aides qu’on a uprès auprès de plusieurs grands groupes, Total et autres, ce qui fait qu’on aura une aide exceptionnelle que nos pêcheurs n’auront never eue sur le carburant”, to assure him Republic President.
