49% of the French disapprove of the mobilization (compared to 39% who approve)
The mobilization does not seem to have the support of the French, according to a new poll “Opinion en direct” carried out by the Elabe Institute for BFMTV and released on Tuesday. 49% of the French disapprove of this movement compared to 39% who support it.
Regarding the strike at the refineries, 48% of the French declare themselves hostile or against the movement of Total employees, an increase of 8% in almost a week. This is explained in part by the agreement reached between the CFDT and the management of the oil group.
71% of respondents believe that “employees have already gotten a sufficient raise from Total management, [et qu’ils] should stop the mobilization”, against 28%. As a result, a clear majority of the French are in favor of requisitioning striking employees to restore supply to service stations (60%, +9%).
