On Monday, Washington threatened to sanction companies or states collaborating with Iran’s drone program, following recent attacks in Ukraine carried out with drones allegedly made in Iran.
On Tuesday, Iran responded to the United States. It is committed to supplying Russia with surface-to-surface missiles and more drones, according to a statement to Reuters senior Iranian officials and diplomats.

Also according to Reuters, a Western official familiar with the matter confirmed this information, explaining that an agreement had been reached between Iran and Russia on the supply of short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, including Zolfaghars.
For its part, the Kremlin drowns the fish and claims “not to have any information” about the use by its army of the Shahed-136 kamikaze drones for attacks on electricity and water supply infrastructure.
“We don’t have such information,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded when asked by a reporter if Moscow was using Iranian drones in Ukraine. “Russian technology is used, with Russian names,” he added, as he referred to the Defense Ministry for any further queries.
