The current regulations establish that if individuals “remain without electricity for more than 5 hours, they will systematically benefit from the payment of a lump sum of 2 euros without taxes per kVA of subscribed power for every 5 consecutive hours of electricity outage, within a limit of 8 days and 8 hours maximum, explained the manager.
In total, 1.2 million homes were left without electricity across France, including 780,000 in Brittany, following the passage of Storm Ciaran, marked by wind gusts exceeding 170 km/h. In addition to compensation, Enedis indicates that it has mobilized 70 million euros to restore electricity supply to customers cut off in Brittany, repair power lines and send teams and their agents to disaster areas.
