TAP rejects CEO’s hand in hiring new director, though admits “recent personal” relationship

TAP this Tuesday dismissed the executive president’s meddling in hiring a new director, despite a “recent personal relationship”, and underlined that Isabel Nicolau has “two decades of proven evidence” leading teams in tech companies.

In the note sent to the employees, the company also makes it clear that the amount of 15,000 euros referred to for the salary of the new director, which has been advanced in the news, “does not correspond to reality, because it is significantly lower. is”.

TAP recalled that the company’s restructuring process “has defined goals that must be achieved to ensure the sustainability of the company”, and therefore the management team has “provided the necessary skills to the various structures of the company, whether in areas that benefit from industry experience in aerospace or in areas enriched with functional skills from other industries”.
