Fuel prices fell sharply last week

Almost 20 cents for gasoline and 17 for diesel. Thanks to State and Total discounts, fuel prices have fallen considerably throughout France.

A price drop rarely seen in fuel prices. According to data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, this Friday, September 2, the average prices of diesel fell by almost 17 cents per liter to 1.78 euros on average in France.

Those of the SP95-E10 fell even more sharply. They were on average in France at the end of last week of 1,542 euros per liter, a drop of 19.7 cents in one week.

A drop noted by motorists who rushed to the stations and in particular those of the Total group. Since September 1, the Government bonus on fuel has gone from 18 to 30 cents per liter. To this must be added the Total of 20 cents that has allowed the stations of the French oil company to be the cheapest in France.

This discount of 20 cents granted by Total, in addition to the 30 cents from the State, has also caused a tidal wave in the stations, some of which have had to close due to lack of stock. The sanctioned competitors qualify the measure as unfair.
