EDF announced on Thursday that it is revising its nuclear production for 2022 downward to 275-285 TWh (terawatt hours) against the 280-300 TWh previously forecast, due in particular to “the extension of the shutdown period of four reactors nuclear affected by the program of checks and repairs of the corrosion phenomenon under voltage “.
The energy giant, of which almost half of the reactors are unavailable due to maintenance or corrosion problems, also questioned the social movement of autumn 2022 in the plants that affected “the schedules of stoppage for maintenance.”
