Ukraine received anti-aircraft batteries from the United States and Spain

Ukraine has announced that it has received new anti-aircraft defense systems from the United States, Spain and Norway.

It took only a few weeks for the United States, Spain and Norway to send anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine to counter Russia’s massive bombardment of critical infrastructure.

According to Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine’s Defense Minister, kyiv has received the Nasams systems promised by the Americans and Aspide from Spain to protect electrical and water infrastructures. In recent weeks, Russian attacks have led to massive cutbacks as winter approaches.

Since mid-October, after massive bombing, Ukraine has demanded anti-aircraft systems from its allies. At a meeting in Brussels, different countries announced the delivery of defense systems. Germany, which had already delivered a system “Iris-T” promised three more “next year.” France should also participate in these assignments by sending 3 or 4 “Crotale” surface-to-air systems.

During an intervention on France 2, Emmanuel Macron had revealed the shipment to Ukraine of anti-aircraft defense systems.

On October 10 alone, more than 84 missiles fell on Ukraine who only managed to eliminate 43 of them. Since last summer, Kyiv has been asking its allies to provide it with an anti-aircraft shield to deal with this situation.
