The new rules begin to take shape. Firstly, two criteria could be taken into account to determine the climate in the labor market: the number of vacancies and the unemployment rate.
Depending on whether the situation is green, orange or red, the duration of compensation for the unemployed would be reduced more or less.
reduction factor
A union leader at the center of the discussions explains: today 1 day worked gives the right to a compensated day, the executive wants to establish a reduction coefficient so that a day worked no longer gives the right to 1 day but to 0, 80 or even 0 .75 days compensated when everything goes well.
Specifically, an unemployed person who, according to current regulations, was entitled to 24 months of benefits, for example, would only be entitled to 18 months in the green period.
Nothing is definitively arbitrated, but the government wants to act quickly. Yesterday, the social partners were summoned to a final meeting, multilaterally, on November 21.
The new rules will then be established by decree and should enter into force next February at the latest.
