In general, the French are not unhappy at work. 70% of active ingredients say they are satisfied with their professional situation (14% are very satisfied and 56% quite satisfied), according to our Elabe for BFMTV survey published on Wednesday, April 30.
Satisfaction differs slightly according to the socio -professional category with 73% of executives who say they are satisfied, 72% in intermediate professions, 68% of employees and 66% of workers.
Among the objects of satisfaction, we find the meaning at work. 85% of assets consider their “useful for the company” use, 80% find it “interesting” and 73% are “proud.”
6 out of 10 assets are poorly paid and stressed
But the assets interviewed also have a series of complaints. Half of them consider that their work is painful and 53% believe they have no evolution prospects, these two trends are exacerbated among workers. 62% of assets also consider their stressful work. Finally, one of the largest sources of dissatisfaction remains the salary with 6 out of 10 assets that are considered poorly paid.
Therefore, the salary logically leads the criteria that most count for the assets interviewed. 69% of them thus classify remuneration among the three most important elements for them. The second priority is the balance of professional life: personal life (cited by half of the assets). The environment at work comes in third place, except among workers who prefer employment security.
A good balance of personal life for most
In addition, the three quarters of active people say they are satisfied with their professional life balance, including 17% very satisfied and 60% quite satisfied. It should be noted that the level of satisfaction is quite homogeneous among the socio -professional categories (78% of executives, 77% of intermediate professions, 77% of employees, 75% of workers) but lower among women (73%) than in men (80%).
Perhaps to preserve this balance, the active assets do not want to work anymore. The feeling of working sufficiently dominates for 2 assets in 3, when 1 in 4 estimates to work too much. Only 7% say they are not working enough.
And what they apply to them also apply to others: the majority (56%) of French, active as retired, believes that we work enough in France. 30% of them still judge that we do not work enough and 14% too much.
Survey conducted in a sample of 1,002 people, representative of residents of continental France of 18 years or more, according to the method of the quota.
