Brazil is no longer authorized to export to the poultry and chicken products to the European Union (EU) due to the avian flu epidemic that decreases in the country, the European Commission announced on Monday afternoon.
“The Brazilian authorities can no longer sign these animal health certificates for the export to the EU and such certificates cannot be issued. No product based on poultry to the EU cannot be exported from the EU from the Brazilian territory,” he added, without specifying how long the prohibition must last.
First world exporter
Brazil, the main chicken exporter in the world, confirmed on Friday the appearance of an avian influenza air in a poultry agriculture, which caused a commercial prohibition at national level by China, the first buyer and restrictions on the state scale for other important consumers.
