SNCF Travelers is launching a promotional operation in its classic upper train, these slow trains at low prices. Today and tomorrow, 50,000 tickets will be offered at a price of 5 euros for trips made until July 4.
These coral pink trains circulate between Rennes, Nantes and Paris. The offer is valid until Wednesday, but it does not refer to the Classic Train Link of Paris-Buselas.
In general, the prices offered vary between 10 and 49 euros per trip, there are 5 euros for children under 12 years.
4.5 million passengers since 2022
The operator welcomes the success of this ultra low cost offer with 4.5 million passengers since its launch in 2022. Last April, the SNCF also added a third round trip between Rennes and Paris.
Like Ouigo TGV, the traditional ouigo train attracts a new client. According to the operator, 50% of Ouigo’s clients in general did not take the train.
On the basis of this success, the SNCF is obviously working in other destinations.
