Restorers can regularize foreigners: the new voltage trades list is finally published

The restorers have been waiting for months: the new list of 80 trades that need labor to regularize foreign workers have just been published in the official magazine.

Agriculture, home aid, hotels or catering: the updated list of voltage trades, which allowed foreign workers to regularize, was published this Thursday, May 22 in the official magazine, after several successive reports.

Transmitted by the Government to social partners on February 21, this update, scheduled every year, according to the January 2024 Immigration Law, would be published at the end of February before postponing several times. The latest version dates from 2021.

Region established by region, this list lists approximately 80 operations that need labor, thanks to which foreign workers can claim a residence permit justifying twelve months of salary slippers in the last 24 months and three years of residence in France.

Keep your employees

This provision, which is supposed to embody the social component of the law carried by former Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, is applicable until the end of 2026.

It should allow bosses with difficulties to recruit to keep their employees and rule out the risk of a conviction: the use of a person in an irregular situation is subject to 30,000 euros fine and five years in prison.

Among the “professions and geographical areas characterized by recruitment difficulties” include in particular “salaried farmers”, “Help at home and housewives”, “Cooking assistance”, “chefs”, “domestic workers and cleaning personnel”, “Gardeners/market employees” Employees “, as well as employees of the hotel and construction sector.
