The project to revitalize the ski resort of Serre Serre Alpe de Grande, in Isère, will not see the daylight, synonymous with closing, said the Community of Matheysine (CCM) and Sata Group on Tuesday.
The two actors “make the shared observation that they do not have adapted and sufficient financial means for the construction of a new economic model of 4 seasons for the destination of Alpe Du Grand Serre”, a family complex of Middle Mountain near Grenoble.
The financing plan for the public service delegation “could not be closed for the exploitation of the ski area for the next twenty -five years,” they emphasize.
The Community Council will decide on July 10 for the abandonment of the public service delegation procedure.
“Painful decision”
“It is a painful decision, it is a page of the life of our territory that becomes. Now we must look in front of, remain united and build together a future renewed at the station of L’Alpe du Grand Serre,” said Coraline Saure, president of the CCM cited in the press release.
The general director of the SATA Fabrice Boutet said the group’s commitment to integrate the personnel assigned to the operation of the field.
The CCM, in which the station depends, had decided in October not to subsidize it, which should have caused its closure in the process, affecting about 200 direct and indirect jobs.
The station, located 1,370 meters above sea level, had finally benefited from a one -year stay after a strong mobilization and the lifting of almost 400,000 euros of several donors.
With its three tesilla and 50 km of tracks, it had been able to stay open to the skiers and had even benefited from the “historical” assistance during the Christmas holidays.
