Boeing takes the head out of the water: the aircraft manufacturer delivered 150 aircraft in the second quarter, which had not happened for seven years

Boeing delivered 150 commercial aircraft in the second quarter and 280 aircraft in 2025, the best half in seven years, against 175 during the same period of 2024.

The American aeronautical manufacturer Boeing delivered 150 commercial aircraft in the second quarter, unheard of this period in seven years, and also registered in June its best monthly level since December 2023, according to the data published on Tuesday.

Between April and June, the group delivered 150 aircraft, against 92 during the same period of the previous year.

It must return to the second quarter of 2018 to reach a higher number (194 aircraft delivered), that is, before the accidents of October 2018 and March 2019, which left 346 dead in total.

In June alone, the aircraft manufacturer gave 60 planes to its customers, including 42 copies of its Star model, the 737 Max. It is, for these two variables, better since December 2023, just before an incident in flight in a 737 Max 9 of the American company Alaska Airlines, which only made light injuries.

The Chinese receive Boeing

Keep in mind that Boeing gave eight airplanes in June to Chinese airlines. Beijing had temporarily prohibited deliveries, in a context of business war initiated by Washington.

The two largest world economic powers have finally announced in mid -May the suspension, for 90 days, of most of their respective surcharges. In the process, Beijing authorized the resumption of deliveries of Boeing aircraft – the largest American exporter.

Since the beginning of the year, Chinese companies have received 28 planes. China was the last, in December 2023, to resume Boeing’s deliveries after the two accidents.

A command book that fills

Since the beginning of the year, the aircraft manufacturer has delivered 280 airplanes, the best first half in seven years, against 175 during the same 2024 period, when it has gone through a deep crisis linked to the Alaska Airlines incident.

In addition, Boeing obtained 116 gross orders: 54 copies of 737 Max, including twelve for Alaska Airlines, and 62 copies of 787 Dreamliner, including 32 for the British group IAG (British Airways).

After cancellations, conversions and accounting adjustments, net orders stand out in 70 aircraft in June and 676 since the beginning of the year.

At the end of June, the request book contained 6,590 aircraft, including 4,362,737 Max, which represents a cumulative value of more than $ 500 billion.
