The Chinese government on Friday refused to participate in any illegal storage of personal data on servers in its territory, after the European Union opened a Tiktok survey by the European Union.
“The Chinese government gives great importance to the confidentiality and data security and protects them according to the law,” said the spokesman of the MAO None Foreign Ministry, and added that Beijing “has never demanded and will never require companies or people who collect or store illegally data.”
