Coca-Cola agreed to modify its production in the United States to go to the old cane sugar, abandoning corn syrup, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, a great consumer of the most famous carbon drinks on Wednesday.
While the agrifood giant uses conventional sucrose in Europe, US consumers are swallowed through corn syrup bubbles with high fructose (SGHF).
“I would like to thank all Coca-Cola managers. It will be a very good decision on the other hand, you will see. It is simply better!”
“We appreciate President Trump’s enthusiasm for our emblematic brand,” the US company briefly reacted in place.
The corn syrup extended to the United States in the 1970s thanks to government subsidies granted to corn producers and high customs duties in cane sugar.
Coca-Cola’s decision could affect corn producers in the “corn belt”), a region of the west medium, which, however, represents an important group of virtues of Donald Trump.

SGHF and sucrose, more commonly called “table sugar”, are composed of fructose and glucose. But its structure differs: the SGHF contains fructose and free glucose (not linked) in variable proportions, while, in sucrose, these two sugars are chemically linked.
It is said that sugars are “free” according to their sweet power.
However, these structural differences do not seem to have a significant impact on health. In 2022, clinical studies made it possible to see the lack of a big difference between SGHF and sucrose in terms of weight gain or heart health.
The only remarkable difference: an increase in an inflammation marker in people who consume SGHF.
American consumers sometimes have access to Mexican Coca-Cola, already produced with cane sugar, which are sold more expensive in certain stores because it is considered better in terms of flavor.
Donald Trump is an inveterate coca-cola light drinker, watered to Aspartamo, a compound considered “perhaps cancer” by experts from the World Health Organization.
