The petition, launched by a student at the site of the National Assembly, denounces this law that provides in particular the reintroduction in a derogatory of acetamipride, pesticide of the neonicotinoid family, prohibited in France but authorized in Europe.
In just ten days, she collected more than 1.5 million signatures. Either above the required threshold of the 500,000 to obtain a debate in the session, if the Conference of Presidents of the National Assembly, which sets the agenda, decided in mid -September in mid -September during the start of the parliamentarian.
“I understand today that he faced everything that is said to be true and less true, the French wonder,” said Arnaud Rousseau on Tuesday, saying that “he trusts science.”

Acetamipride is claimed by beet and hazelnut producers, who believe they have no alternative against pests and suffer an unfair competition of their European competitors. “The reality of what I live is that my beets, at a time when I speak with you, have jaundice,” said Arnaud Rousseau.

Towards a new debate
The fact that the petition has crossed, on Saturday, the threshold of the 500,000 signatories authorizes the Conference of Presidents of the National Assembly, which brings together the presidents of the groups and parliamentary commissions, to organize a debate in the hemicle. It will not allow a review of the text, or its possible abrogation.
But, in the face of citizen mobilization, more and more voices claim it. The president of the Renaissance Gabriel Attal and the Minister of Ecological Transition of AGNès Pannier-Runacher advocate that the Government takes over the National Health Security Agency (ANSE) to give their opinion.
Finally, several votes on the left urge Emmanuel Macron to ask Parliament with a second deliberation on the law, which would delay his promulgation.
