Business creations in France accelerated in June, a 3.3% increase compared to the previous month, retired in particular by microenterprises, said the National Statistics Institute on Wednesday.
In June, 98,787 companies were created, in corrected data of seasonal variations and effects of business days, after a 0.8% increase in May.
The creations referred to 64,492 microenterprises (+4.1%), 25,027 companies (+1.8%) and 9,268 conventional individual companies (+1.6%).
In terms of sectors, these commercial creations have increased considerably in construction (+14.1%) and in the industry (+13.1%) and, to a lesser extent, in commercial support activities (+2.5%).

On the contrary, they fell into real estate activities (-4.9%) and in trade, including automotive reparation (-1.7%).
For three months, from April to June 2025, the number of companies created increased by 2.6% compared to the same 2024 period, driven by trade (+1.9 points).
In the last twelve months, from July 2024 to June 2025, it increased a bit 0.2% in the annual sliding, in gross data. The creation of companies (+2.9%) and microenterprises (+1.3%) increased, while those of conventional individual companies fell by 12.8%.
