A dozen trains showed a great delay upon arrival at the Lyon station this Friday, July 25 at night after an electric incident in Burgundy.
Lightning fell in the afternoon in an electrical installation in the AIN, between Lyon and Mâcon, the SNCF said. The TGV had to take the classic path, dividing their speed into two and causing traffic jam. The incident was resolved at the end of the day.
Around 10 pm, the trains accused 45 minutes late on average at the Lyon station, according to the SNCF. The Montpellier TGV scheduled for 6:47 pm reached 3:30 am late, and Lyon’s scheduled for 7:20 pm 4:20 am, according to the arrivals table available online.
Trains to Lyon, Annecy or Grenoble, which are shown at 4:30 am late, depending on the starting table.
