“What happened to me is a professional exhaustion,” says Dominique, 59. “They took me to do the work of several people at the same time”, with a “hierarchy” not always benevolent, “says this seller.” I crashed, even a suicide attempt. “
In the disease license for two years, the fifties have been accompanied in the Maison du Bien-Being, a structure organized by the Mulhouse Rehabilitation Center (CRM). It benefits from individual psychological monitoring and participates in workshops in a group of eight people.
100% free support
Sofrology, art therapy, sport, dietary, lyrics: a complete program is planned for nine weeks, in three phases.
“The first is the disconnection. We leave his job, his business, his concerns and take care of ourselves,” explains Tom Cardoso, president of the Maison du Bien-Being and the CEO of the CRM, at the initiative of this project. The second is “the reconquest of the power to act. We will mobilize people, we will value them to recover confidence.” Finally, a final step aims to “go to the suite”: resumption of work or training, for example.
At a time when mental health is designated a great national cause in 2025, “it seems that we are the first to take care that it is multidisciplinary, coordinated,” says Tom Cardoso. He adds that it is “completely free for the beneficiaries”, financed by the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the local regime, CPAM 68, the Grandet region and the Mutuelle Ag2R.
That morning, Dominique follows a workshop on self -image, learning to choose clothes and colors according to her morphology. “Soon they will return to business and, therefore, they must regain self -confidence for, first, their appearance,” said coach, Elena Ichrtz.
Three men and three women participate this morning, each gives their opinion, joke.
Patients with illness license for more than a year
On average, beneficiaries have been licensed for illness for 13 months. The average age is 49 years and almost three quarters are women. Public Administration, Health, Commerce, Industry …
Sixty -two people have integrated the device since its implementation at the end of 2023, and 30 are on the waiting list. Given this request, the Welfare Chamber has increased the number of groups received, to accommodate five per year against four initially planned.
Effective support
The first results are “very impressive,” he emphasizes. When they enter, 97% of the beneficiaries are on illness, against 13% when they left, compares, signature that “works” and that people “recover confidence.”
This support “allows us to put words in what happens to us, and try to accept it better, to be able to move on,” explains Marie (supposed name), 45, who worked in the field of health.
“It’s hard to say that we have failed, we couldn’t get there. I feel guilty for months,” he said.
Dominique also did not assume this exhaustion: “I did not even dare to say that I was a little ashamed. I said I had a health problem, then stopped there.” Today, he feels “always very tired” but “self -confidence is better.”
Plan to resume your work in the therapeutic halftime. “I know that I will have to limit myself, that I fix the rules, and especially that I stay with them, that I do not fall into defects to want to do everything at all costs, only.” In the group, “we all apprehend the end” of this support, he trusts.
“Slowly build a project for the future,” Marie said too. “In any case, we all aspire to find a more serene and most benevolent professional environment where we can bloom again.”
