The Netherlands raided the way and inaugurated the new NATO program to provide military aid to Ukraine. Dutch defense minister Ruben Brekelmans announced on the social network X a contribution of 500 million euros, which includes the transfer of ammunition, missiles and American antimile defense systems.
This new military aid package is part of the “list of prioritized Ukraine requirements” (list of priority needs for Ukraine): this mechanism, initiated in mid -July, establishes that NATO countries can buy military equipment, collected in US stocks, to make them available to Ukraine.
The Dutch ministry said in its press release that “other allies have also committed to providing funds.” Norway can be the next country to participate in the initiative to strengthen anti -Ukrainianvions defenses.
Germany said in early August at the beginning of August that the delivery of Patriot launchers was “imminent” and that other system components would transfer in the coming months.
