“The attempts to instrumentalize the extreme right”
This movement called “block everything” formed through calls to block on the social networks of various origins, in particular reaction to the budget cuts sought by the Executive. In a few days, the dispute gained impulse on social networks and abroad, without knowing who is in the initiative. “What arises more and more social demands and the complaint of this Bayroun budget, which is completely joined to our analysis,” says Sophie Binet. However, it is still cautious against the “attempts to inform the extreme right.”
The general secretary of the CGT considers that “the extreme right tries to develop anti-union speeches and try to redirect anger by believing that Bayrou’s budget is a problem because it did not take enough money to immigrants and foreigners, when it is a problem because they are the workers who pay and not the richest and rich.”
Other followers in motion
If the CGT has not yet decided if this movement would officially support, others quickly joined it. The Sud Sud Rail Union asked that “join the demands that are multiplying in the perspective of the 10, building a strong attack in our sector.”
Similarly, several political parties, including rebel France, the Communist Party and the environmentalists requested the mobilization on September 10 as part of the “Blocked Everything” movement.
