The main representative union in the public service, the CGT, requires “blocking everything” and strike on September 10 and 18, according to a statement published on Monday, while the other two main organizations focus on September 18. The strike call of these two dates is shared by the Federation of the three slopes of Sylviane Brousse.
In 2024, the state public service had 2.5 million agents, the public service of the 1.9 million hospital and the territorial public service. The CGT is the first representative union on the territorial and hospital slopes of the public service, and the fifth in the public service of the State that particular police officers or teachers have.
Boicot of Social Dialogue Bodies
The organization of state agents “asks public agents, public officials and non -owners, assets and retirees, to block everything for the strike to combat austerity, defend, reconquer and develop public services,” he read a statement. This initiative follows the calls to the mobilization on September 10 launched on social networks and that had received support from the entire political left, LFI in mind, which requires “the general strike.”
It is also part of the strike call launched by an intervala on September 18, 10 days after a vote of trust that must seal the fate of the government of François Bayrou. The CGT also called to boycott the instances of social dialogue with the administration.
September 10 without the CFDT, FO still has to decide
For its part, the Public Force Service (FO) confirmed to join the strike movement of September 18, but must decide during the week on its participation on September 10, said General Secretary of Public Service of the Ouvrière Force, Christian Grolier.
For its part, the CFDT public service, the third trade union organization throughout the public service, has indicated that it would not participate in the September 10 strike, “in coherence with the Confederation,” justified its general secretary, Mylène Jacquot. However, he presented a strike warning on Monday and will be “completely mobilized” for the September 18 strike, added the union official.
