Three SNCF unions, Rail-Chaminot rail workers, Unsas Rail and CFDT requested the strike on September 18 in a joint statement on Wednesday, September 3.
These three organizations, which together represent 70% of the votes in the last professional elections, call “all railway workers and all railway workers to move massively on September 18 for the strike and participate in the demonstrations,” specifies the press release.
South-Rail, the third Rail Union, did not sign the press release, but requested the strike on September 10. As a reminder, the national representatives of trade union organizations, all combined activity sectors, requested mobilization on September 18, while Internet users call “blocking everything” on September 10.
