The commercial agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur South American countries will have harmful consequences for the agricultural sector, deplores rural coordination.
The Free Trade Agreement between the Latin American countries of Mercosur and the European Union, which the European Commission asks its member countries to approve, is a “scheduled betrayal,” said the Secretary General of Rural Coordination on Thursday, in RMC/BFM.
“It’s a betrayal, a scheduled betrayal,” said Christian Convers. “We are not deceived, we can see that these things were scheduled,” he said, emphasizing that “he will not strengthen the confidence link that farmers have with their rulers.”
