Donald Trump has ordered foreign companies on Sunday to respect the American immigration laws, after the arrest of more than 300 South Korean workers in a factory under construction in Hyundai and LG in Georgia (southeast).
“Respect the laws of our country in terms of immigration,” said the US president on social networks.
“Your investments are welcome and we encourage you to bring your most competent employees,” he added, but “in return, we ask him to hire and train US workers.”
The immigration police announced Friday that they had led a raid the previous day at a automotive battery manufacturing plant in the South Korean groups Hyundai and LG Energy Solution in Ellabellll, in the state of Georgia.
