China and the United States began economic discussions in Madrid on Sunday, the Chinese agency Nouvelle and the Spanish government announced.
The US Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, must meet with high -ranking Chinese officials, including the vice -first minister He Lifeng, to discuss economic and commercial issues, as well as Tiktok, confirmed both parties.
The Chinese delegation is in Madrid until Wednesday, Chinese officials said.
Commercial and policy tensions
