The Kering Luxury Group was a victim in June of a cyber attack aimed at several million customers of their Gucci, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen brands. Stole BBC who revealed the case, on Monday, September 15.
Cybercounts behind the attack call themselves bright hunters and claim to have “linked to 7.4 million unique email addresses, suggesting that the total number of victims could be similar,” says British media.

“In June 2025, we discovered that an unauthorized third had temporarily reached our systems and agreed to the limited data of some of our houses,” Kering said Tuesday. “Our homes immediately reported this intrusion to the competent authorities and the clients informed according to local regulations,” added the group.
“The intrusion was quickly identified and appropriate measures have been taken to ensure the systems in question and prevent such incidents from reproducing in the future,” Kering said. The luxury sector faces the growing threat of cyber attacks. This year, several important brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton or Cartier have suffered data violations.
