In the Marseille-Paris TGV, a human resources suggests dismissing an employee: a passenger finds him and warns him

The passenger of a Marseille-Paris train warned an employee who was about to be fired after intercepting a conversation among his superiors aboard the TGV. After listening to the names and surnames of the threatened employee, the young man took the trouble to look for him on social networks to send him a message. According to him, the interested party has been licensed by illness.

“Sylvain, I’m sorry, but when you return from the holidays you will say goodbye.” Miloud Lahmar revealed, in a Tiktok video published on August 21, after witnessing a confidential conversation between two employees of a private company while in a TGV between Marseille and Paris. During this telephone bag, the young man says he listened to the Human Resources Manager (Human Resources) laughing at his colleague Sylvain with a colleague, before suggesting him to fire him for serious misconduct when his return from the holidays.

A few days after this indiscretion, the Tiktokeur managed to find the famous Sylvain online to warn him of what was waiting for him upon his return to the office, in a communication company in Paris. He states that the latter has since been a long -term illness license.

“The boy was ‘tarpin’ surprised”

When he published his video, which made 2.6 million visits, Miloud Lahmar receives dozens of messages of outraged or concerned about his destination, including many Sylvain or people close to men named. “I recognize that I read her name on the screen next to me and that she didn’t have to do it, but hey … then she clearly said her name by phone in public,” he defends himself.

The young man reports that in this exchange of emails, the human resources manager wrote that “it was no longer possible”, that “he did not necessarily appreciate” Sylvain, but that he would have a pleasant surprise on his return from Congès. According to him, this HR suggested that he fired him for “serious failure”, but that they had to take two days to think about “the fault of finding precise in the explanations to give him.”

“I did not count at all in contact with the initially, but when I saw the mass of messages I received asked me questions.” And my approach was also very approached against this lady, which was not right. “

The young 21 -year -old Tiktokeur explains having been the famous Sylvain in Facebok thanks to his last name, hindering the screen of his neighboring car. Two days later, “I see a guy called Sylvain, who is on vacation and works in the same box,” is developed in a second video posted on social networks.

“I didn’t have to listen to these conversations”

“When I understood that it was, we began to exchange a little, and he was” surprised (Provencal expression that means “very surprised”), “Miloud Lahmar continues.” He told me he was not at all. First he found the fun situation, he thanked me, then I had a moment of concern. In the end, it was clear that I was counting on illness. “

In retrospect, the judges of Miloud Lahmar “are very problematic of having access to this information, (he) who has nothing to do in all this.” This is the reason why you do not regret your approach: “I find it serious to have mixed with a story that does not concern me just by taking my train, having had access to such confidential information. This is not normal, I did not have to listen to these conversations there in public.”

“I was a little surprised by this Sylvain, because in addition to the aforementioned failures, the way these people talked about him was really incorrect,” continues the 21 -year -old student. “He made fun, a double game, as if they were waiting for an error. Nothing was decided, it was just an argument, but I do not understand how such an attitude is possible.”

As a reminder, a company’s human resources department is responsible for guaranteeing the confidentiality and safety of employee personal data (for example, their name, nationality, sex, age, health data or even management and bank data), out of respect for article 30 of the GDPR – General Regulations for Data Protection – of the European Union of April 27, 2019.

“However, we said ‘put your phone calls on the platforms,” said the SNCF in the comments under Miloud Lahmar’s video.
