Complicated Friday for the SNCF. After this morning’s strong interruptions on the southwest network after a TGV has found an obstacle, it is traffic to the southeast since Paris that has been interrupted tonight since 5 pm
“The traffic is interrupted between Paris Gare de Lyon and Villeneuve St Georges due to a fire in a building near the roads of Maisons-Alfort (Val-de-Marne). The Firefighters who intervene asked us to reduce the electricity for security measure,” said the SNCF network.
The fire, which came out around 4:00 pm of an apartment in the fifth and last floor of a building “in front of the SNCF railways” in Maisons-Alfort, did not make anyone injured but mobilized the “important workforce” of the Firefighters after having spread to the roof, explained to the AFP the distant BSPP Florian, on the site.
In addition to the TGV, the Transilians of the R and RER D that leave the station are also blocked.
A passenger aboard a blocked TGV station testifies to BFM Business: “Electricity is cut, there are no longer in trains, controllers cannot even make ads in the microphone and are forced to come to each car to make advertisements.”
Around 7 pm, firefighters who had finished their speech authorized the SNCF to reactivate electricity, traffic will gradually resume, but delays can be significant (around 2 hours) from Paris. The SNCF warns that “disturbances” remain to wait “until the end of the night.”
