Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday that a “consensus” had been reached with the United States to resolve trade disputes, according to an account of a telephone exchange with the US secretary of state published by an official media outlet.
Negotiators from the two countries are working to finalize the details of an agreement on tariffs and other thorny trade issues ahead of a meeting scheduled for Thursday between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.
