The risk of cuts may well be ruled out in the short term, the French are adjusting. There are 700,000 to have downloaded the EcoWatt application, published by RTE (Red de Transporte de Electricidad, the manager of the French network) and which allows you to follow the evolution of the state of the national electricity network.
EcoWatt is the alert system launched by the authorities to anticipate power outages. Report three days in advance on the state of consumption and production, through posters: with a green sticker, the network is fine; in orange, the margin is reduced; in red, cuts are expected in three days, except in the event of a drop in consumption at the most critical moments.
For consumers who have the application installed, notifications are automatically sent when the network turns red, and on the day of possible outages, to specify the procedure to follow to avoid them.
