On the eve of the Christmas holidays, a strike movement by SNCF signalmen will begin this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and until Monday, December 19 at 8:00 a.m. Consequently, “train traffic will be slightly affected on Friday, December 16 on certain lines,” explains the railway company in a press release.
Nationwide, about twenty TGVs out of a total of 700 that were circulating on Friday will be removed. Specifically, the service will be normal or almost normal for the TGV East, North and South, while almost 9 out of 10 trains will be provided on the Atlantic axis, including 2 out of 3 trains on the links between Paris and Bordeaux.
As for Intercités, traffic will be close to normal or even normal in Paris-Limoges-Toulouse, Paris-Clermont, Nantes-Lyon, Toulouse-Hendaye and Béziers-Clermont.
As for the Transilien, “it is likely that some lines will be interrupted: the transport plans will be detailed the day before at 5:00 p.m.,” specifies the SNCF. The same for the TERs.
