Salary agreement signed in RTE by all unions

In addition to the increase in the branch, it should be noted that employees obtained an average increase of 2.3% and a monthly bonus in 2023 and 2024 that will be transformed into salary as of 2025.

A majority agreement on wages was signed this Friday by all the unions representing the manager of the high-voltage lines of RTE, according to what we have been able to learn from concordant sources. “The four trade union organizations representing RTE (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CGT, FO) have signed the agreement on wage measures for 2023,” RTE said in a press release.

The CGT, the main union with a representation of close to 40%, finally “decided to sign the agreement” after consulting its affiliates, said Francis Casanova, the CGT’s central union representative. “We moved the position of the management. We have things. People want to reap what they have,” he added, although the agreement does not fully meet the claims of the CGT, which initially demanded an increase of 6.9% for everybody. in order to “compensate for inflation in 2022/2023”.

In addition to the increase negotiated at the office level, the RTE agreement provides in particular for an average increase of 2.3% for all, as well as a bonus of 2.7% throughout 2023 and 2024, which will be transformed into salary on 1 January 2025 This monthly bonus is accompanied by specific measures for low wages, providing for the agreement for this bonus a floor of 100 euros per month, which will be transformed “into an equivalent amount in wages” in 2025, according to the CFDT.

individual measurements

The agreement also provides for individual measures equivalent to 1.99% of the payroll. “The measures applicable in the framework of the negotiations for 2023 (branch and company) represent at least 8.2% of the general salary increases applicable to all employees,” management said in its press release.

“We had two negotiations that were mixed, on the one hand a negotiation on the realignment after the problem of inflation and on the other hand the measures that are negotiated annually on the evolution of the wage bill (…), the famous NAO”, explained Régis Cuelga, representative of the CFDT central union. What decided to sign the CGT, “is not the bonus but the fact that it is transformed into a term salary,” said Francis Casanova. To compensate for inflation, RTE had granted in the summer of 2022 a bonus of an amount between 850 and 1,100 euros for all employees.
