In view of the controllers’ strike over the Christmas weekend, the SNCF decided to reimburse affected customers up to 200% of the price of their ticket. A rather rare measure that has partly calmed the discontent of travelers but not all.
In fact, customers with a subscription regret not benefiting from any commercial gesture. And some of them have decided to organize themselves on social networks and call a “bill strike”.
This is the case for customers of the TGV Tours Paris line. The association estimates that some 4,000 people use this link several times a week and pay subscriptions that cost between 500 and 600 euros per month. However, this link was affected by several strikes in December.

“Our goal: compensation of 150 euros for these recurring strikes in December,” he explains on Twitter. “It’s a bit of a symbolic strike in the sense that our subscriptions are sometimes annual, so no matter what, we pay. But it was to show them a bit what a strike could bring to users”, explains David Carter, president of this association, to France Bleu Touraine. .
And to regret that the most loyal users “were not considered in these compensations or indemnities.”
In any case, the association has received the support of all the deputies and senators of Indre-et-Loire who will write to the Minister of Transport or the President of the SNCF to support this request.
