Although the government will unveil the very sensitive pension reform on Tuesday, many French people will want to assess or verify their rights after these announcements.
The solution exists, it is called Info-retraite.fr. Launched in 2019, this official portal allows you to request retirement online for all the schemes in which you have contributed, centralize your supporting documents and other personal data.
It is managed by Union Retraite, a public interest group (PIG) that brings together 35 compulsory, basic and supplementary pension organisations. But above all, it informs you about your retirement rights through different simulators depending on your personal situation.
You can find out if you have the right to early retirement for a long career and calculate your legal retirement age or even simulate the amount of your retirement. How does it work?
• Log in to your personal account
Go to Info-retraite.fr
To connect: it is possible to use your FranceConnect access. Simply select an account that you have already created (for example, at www.impots.gouv.fr or at www.ameli.fr), enter the associated username and password, and then access your retirement account.
It is also possible to enter your social security number and a password (after creating your account). Please note that connecting without FranceConnect does not give you access to all services, but to a limited offer.
• Visualize your career in detail
In the “My Career” tab, the user can see his career path, in the form of a timeline, with a color code:
- green for recorded periods of activity (employment, unemployment, etc.),
- red for those without any information,
- orange for the years in which you have not validated 4 quarters.
You can also view the list of all associated pension plans, with their contact details.
• Simulate the date of your retirement, the amount of your pension
To calculate your legal retirement age, access this page.
By entering your year of birth, we obtain your legal retirement age, the number of quarters required to exit at full rate, and your retirement age to obtain automatic full rate.
Based on your career data, Info-retraite can simulate the amount of your pension based on retirement age. Just go to the “My Retirement Estimate” tab.
“This service allows you to simulate your retirement at any age, using data known from your plans. You can directly access your retirement estimate, consult information about your situation and simulate various retirement possibilities”, perhaps we read.
The tool then gives two different monthly pension amounts: based on the legal retirement age and based on the full rate automatic retirement age.
• Apply for retirement
In the “My Steps” tab, you can request your withdrawal from all organizations involved, in 6 secure steps.
You can submit the completed form and supporting documents immediately, or save them for up to 90 days and refer back to them later.
To consult the main documents that will be requested, access this Info Retraite tool.
No rush, however, your retirement application should be made 4-6 months before your desired departure date.
Except for Civil Service pensions (except National Education), where the request must be made 6 to 9 months before the desired departure date, and for National Education pensions where the term is 6 to 18 months before the date desired output. For pensions from the electricity and gas industries or from the Banque de France, the application must be made at least 12 months before the desired departure date.
