Industrial production in France rose 2% in November, after two consecutive months of decline, thanks in particular to the manufacturing of capital goods which gained 5.3%, INSEE announced on Tuesday.
An increase above the expectations of economists. Experts polled by Reuters on average expected a 0.8% rise in industrial production in November.
Manufacturing production as a whole increased by 2.4%, but construction fell by 1.2% and the extractive industries, energy and water sectors by 0.6%, reported the National Institute of Statistics (Insee).
