Business telecommunications are modernizing

[ CONTENU PARTENAIRE ] With recent changes in working methods, telecommunications provide new solutions that meet the needs of mobility, flexibility and reduction of environmental impact. That is what the W3TEL company does, as its CEO, Cédric Bornecque, explains.

What services does W3TEL offer?

W3TEL is a telecommunications operator created in 2005, among the forerunners of VoIP in France. We provide companies with access to the Internet, fixed and mobile telephony.

Our particularity is having built our own infrastructure, which gives us technological independence and exceptional service stability. It also gives us a greater ability to grow and customize offerings for our customers.

Specifically, you have a fixed-mobile convergence offer, how does it work?

It is very simple for the user, we provide a classic SIM card or an eSIM, and once inserted in the phone, through this simple operation, it will allow the user to benefit from the same services as if they had a desk phone. We are no longer going to differentiate between a desk phone and a SIM card. When the person is in communication, we see that he is busy from the other devices. You can call your colleagues with your internal number. Everything that is done from the desk phone can also be done from the mobile, in transmission or reception. This is very popular with customers outside the company or on very large sites.

How do you perceive the Digital Market Law (DMA) in your market?

The DMA is a European will that aims, in particular, to limit the dominance of the main Internet players and make their messaging services interoperable in order to develop competition. Today, couriers operate in a vacuum, making it difficult for businesses to develop new services. The Digital Market Law will allow us to unify the flow of communication between companies and their customers. This is a great step forward for Europe and a development opportunity for W3TEL.

How do business communication methods evolve towards dematerialized uses?

This is the consequence of the confinement and the new CSR policies of companies that have accelerated teleworking, telemeetings and the reduction of travel. There has been a huge boom in video conferencing tools. All this has changed mentalities and dematerialized uses.

Previously, a company used mainly the phone and email. From now on, use new means. Our strategy is to continue offering adapted services, integrating these modes of communication, mainly oriented towards mobility and the ease of communicating internally or externally.
