French consumption of petroleum energy products (transport and heating) continued to recover in 2022, but remains below 2019 levels, before the pandemic, particularly in the aviation sector, industry professionals said Tuesday.
“Deliveries of jet fuel and highway fuels, particularly gasoline, remained very strong amid rising prices linked to international tensions and the Russo-Ukrainian conflict,” it added.

In total, all shipments of energy oil products (excluding other uses such as the manufacture of plastics or cosmetics) increased by 3.7% in the year to reach 55,507 million tons.
