Good news for the nostalgic: the “Wonders of the World” chocolate will be back on supermarket shelves in March 2023. This cult product from the 1980s and 1990s, known for its collection of cardboard images, has been relaunched by two Marseillaise entrepreneurs running the start-up Krokola. After a pre-sale campaign at Ulule, which has been a great success, and a launch preview at the Grande Épicerie in Paris starting on February 15, the tablets are preparing to return to mass distribution.
“We already have the agreement of most of the big brands” to market the tablets from March 2023, confirms Amélie Coulombe, who is relaunching the brand with her partner Alexandre Kanar. National agreements have already been concluded with Intermarché, Auchan, Monoprix, Casino, Franprix, Cora and Système U, as well as drive specialist Chronodrive, we inform BFM Business. Agreements have also been closed with various regional purchasing centers for E.Leclerc stores.
The manufacturer’s recommended retail price for a “Wonders of the World” chocolate bar will be 2.49 euros.

To remain true to consumer memories, the tablet is cut into six large squares decorated with raised animals, as before, and we find the famous images to collect (but now they will have to be cut out on the back of the box to limit overpacking). . The recipe, milk chocolate with crushed hazelnuts, is close to that of the 90s, its new makers promise, adding a new version of dark chocolate. The packaging also recalls the original image.
