Cutting-edge creative and digital education
For 25 years, IDEM has embedded strong innovation value in its modules, and the recent integration of XR technology into its curriculum aims to help students understand this new technology: “Since the start of the 2022 school year, we have implemented a new extension for all of our sections, targeting the booming field of extended reality,” explains Franck Verjux, the school’s XR, Immersive and Metaverse referent. “We have structured our programs around transversality, with, for example, experiences under Oculus, 360-degree filming, a campus digitization project for a Metaverse, graphic design work to create an inclusive navigation interface, production of glasses of augmented reality and creation of the dedicated application, or even a short binaural animation film between the animation and sound sections: it is an immersive pedagogy that is interesting: the students are witnesses and actors of the entire production process and have the opportunity to experience the application of XR in creative fields.” This resolutely modern approach prepares tomorrow’s professionals for the constant changes of the digital landscape, an added value appreciated by companies.
Placing the school-business partnership at the center of learning
Within its Métalab, a collaboration between the school and Le Pôle Action Média, an incubator for 90 digital companies, IDEM aims to be a pioneer in the analysis of new market needs. In addition to its new immersive studios – sponsored by the famous artist Jean-Michel Jarre – in the Digital City of Soler in Occitanie, a high-tech complex of more than 5000 m2, the school has a campus in Barcelona and is committed to cultivating a dimension international. In permanent and permanent contact with the actors on the ground, IDEM annually organizes Summit from the largest animation film studios (January 25-27, 2023). With no less than 10,000 of its alumni recruited for careers in the creative and cultural industries, the school intends to prepare its students for the challenges of tomorrow and is hosting Open Days on February 4, 2023 to guide to their future recruits.
A school of creative innovation that accompanies students and companies in a constantly changing world, IDEM relies on the experience of its professional teaching team to offer sections with a transversal and ultra-modern approach.
