New day of troubles ahead for rail travelers. After the success of the first mobilization against the pension reform on Thursday, January 19, the unions want to accentuate the movement this Tuesday. And the latter will be especially followed in the transport sector as shown by the traffic forecasts that the SNCF has just made public.
One in three trains on average
SNCF forecasts “heavily disturbed” traffic, TER traffic in all regions with “two out of ten TERs”. Regarding the TGV, the ratios vary according to the axis:
- Two TGV Inoui of five on the North axis
- One of the two TGV Inoui on the East axis
- One in four TGV Inoui on the Atlantic axis
- One of the two TGV Inoui on the southeast axis
- Two Ouigo out of five
The disruptions will also affect intercity traffic with almost no traffic guaranteed on Tuesday with the exception of a round trip to Paris-Clermont, Paris-Limoges-Toulouse and Bordeaux-Marseille.
As of January 19, traffic will also be interrupted during the nights from Monday to Tuesday and from Tuesday to Wednesday. On the other hand, Thalys and Eurostar train traffic should be almost normal, but it will be severely affected on the Lyria network. For other international connections, only a quarter of the trains will run.
The situation continues to deteriorate for Transiliens
The forecasts are essentially the same as January 19 on the Transilien network. With the exception of the K line, on which a quarter of the trains will run, only one train in ten will be in service on the J, N, P and R lines. Please note that there will be no traffic between Melun and Montereau at through Hericy.
