Mota-Engil shareholders will meet in a general meeting this Monday to elect three new members to the board, including former leader of the CDS-PP Paulo Portas, among other agenda items.
At the magna meeting, they will discuss and deliberate the acceptance of the resignation offered by Xiangrong Wang as a member of the Board of Directors (CA) of the company, as well as the determination of 17 of the number of members to compose this body.
Another item on the agenda is the election, for the current mandate, corresponding to the three-year period 2021/2023, of three new members of the board of directors of Mota-Engil: former governor Paulo Portas, José Pinto Moreira and João Parreira, names proposed by the shareholder Mota Gestão e Participações – Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais.
The fourth and final point aims at deliberating “on the determination of the amount of the bond to be provided by the elected members of the Board of Directors”.
That is to say, “the members of the Board of Directors elected in the context of the previous item of this agenda provide a guarantee for the minimum amount determined by law, or replace said guarantee with an insurance contract in favor of the company”, reads in the call .
