The management of the French oil giant Totalenergies announces that 56% (or 169 people) of its employees are on strike at its refineries this Tuesday morning, in this new day of action against the pension reform. The CGT for its part advances a range of 75% to 100% depending on the sites.
The strikers join the third major day of mobilization against the pension reform that yesterday began to be debated in the National Assembly. Part of the transportation and national education personnel, among others, also went on strike today.
At the initiative of the CGT TotalEnergies, the movement in the refineries will last 48 hours, that is, until tomorrow.
Disrupted shipments from Totalenergies sites
“Shipments of product from Totalenergies sites have been discontinued today,” the group said.
Totalenergies points out, however, that its service stations are not short of fuel and that its stocks in its warehouses and service stations are “at a satisfactory level”.
