Galp posted a profit of 881 million euros in 2022, almost double the previous year, according to a statement published this Monday by the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
This value compares to the 457 million euros that Galp had registered in 2021.
The oil company achieved EBITDA (earnings before tax, interest, depreciation and amortization) of EUR 3,849 million last year, representing a 66% increase in homologous terms, the statement said.
The net ‘capex’ (investment) reached EUR 1,266 million, “mainly applied in ‘upstream’ projects, namely in maintenance [dos projetos de] Bacalhau, Tupi and Iracema, in Brazil, and with the expansion of the renewable energy portfolio, including the acquisition of the position in Titan Solar,” the information emphasizes.
