The prices of food and drink products (excluding fresh products) increased notably by 13.9% in January, after +12.7% in December, and by 1.2% in one month.
+15.9% for meats, +9.2% for drinks
The year-on-year increase was especially pronounced in meat, whose prices increased by 15.9%, compared to +14.9% for “other food products”, +11.2% for cleaning and hygiene and +9, 2% drinks.
Throughout a month, on the other hand, “other food products” were the ones that increased the most in January (+1.3% compared to December), ahead of beverages (+1.1%), meat (+1 %) and cleanliness and hygiene. products (+0.2%).
Excluding hypermarkets and supermarkets, the rise in prices reached 13.9% annual in January, after +12.3% in December. Finally, adding all channels (hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.), inflation in January stood at 13.5% one year and +1.3% one month.
